He is undoubtedly a bowler’s terror once he finds his batting form. Sharma has often demonstrated his ability to win games. Rohit has helped India win several games, along with top players like Shikhar Dhawan and Virat Kohli.

Rohit Sharma, a tremendous run roller, is the perfect successor to Sachin Tendulkar after he quit international cricket. Sharma is renowned for his graceful batting, mesmerizing cricket fans worldwide.

Rohit struck ODI double-hundreds and won six IPLs in the first fifteen seasons. At the 2019 ODI World Cup, he hit five hundred. Moreover, in his maiden series as the opener in Tests in 2019, he scored three fast hundreds, one of them a double century.

Rohit Sharma’s batting power was never questioned due to the Mumbai batsman’s early-career displays of excellence at the international level. It took him a while to find the perfect batting position, though. After several years, Rohit Sharma established his ideal batting position as the Indian team’s opener.

The Highlight Of Sharma’s Career

Rohit’s international career began in 2007 when his fifty against South Africa in World Cup 2007 caught everyone’s attention. In June 2007, he played in his first One Day International (ODI). However, he did not get the chance to bat. Three days after his debut, he faced South Africa but could only score eight runs off nine bowls before being run out by Jacques Kallis.

Rohit’s big break came when he was unexpectedly called up to the Indian T20I team for the 2007 T20 World Cup due to an injury to Yuvraj Singh. He showed his promise with a smooth, undefeated 52 against South Africa and helped India reach a significant total.

Though Rohit Sharma’s list of his international centuries continues to expand, it took him over four years to record his first hundred.

If one were to compile a list of Sharma’s career’s most noteworthy accomplishments, his performance at the ICC 2019 Cricket World Cup would undoubtedly be on it. He tied the record for most centuries in a World Cup with Tendulkar, the Master Blaster, after scoring five centuries in a single tournament.
