KL Rahul Debut in Indian Premier League- 2013

KL Rahul made his cricket debut for Karnataka in the 2010 and 2011 seasons. The same year, he competed for India in the ICC Under 19 World Cup.

KL Rahul began his IPL career with Royal Challengers Bangalore, a franchise in Bengaluru, where he was born. In 2013, he signed on with RCB to begin his IPL career a year before his Test debut.

The RCB team has great batters such as Virat Kohli, AB de Villiers, and the west Indies skipper Chris Gayle. He made his IPL debut with RCB as a wicketkeeper batter. However, he didn’t have many opportunities to succeed that season.

Rahul missed the whole 2017 season after suffering a shoulder injury.

KL Rahul IPL Runs in 2018 For Punjab Kings

The Indian opener, KL Rahul, was acquired by Kings XI Punjab (now Punjab Kings) for the 2018 season. Kings XI Punjab got Rahul for 11 crores during the 2018 IPL Auction, which was the joint third highest price that year.

The white ball player broke Sunil Narine’s record and got the quickest 50 in IPL history in the team’s opening game of the season, needing just 14 balls to get there. Rahul recorded one of the best scores in 2018.

KL Rahul IPL Runs in 2019

The right handed batter, KL Rahul, made three 90+ highest score attempts before 2018. However, he was unable to get a century. In 2019, he scored 100 not out from 64 in a match against the Mumbai Indians to record his first IPL century.

KL Rahul finished the 2019 IPL season with 593 runs, an average of 53.90, and batting at a strike rate of 135.38. After David Warner, Rahul had the second highest run scorer for the season.

KL Rahul IPL Runs in 2020

KL Rahul was the captain of the Punjab Kings in the 2020 IPL. He struck an undefeated 132* off 69 balls with an average of 55.83 in the match against Royal Challengers Bangalore.

He earned the Orange Cap in the IPL 2020 edition after scoring 670 runs throughout all 14 innings. In addition, he was named the man of the match for the innings that set a record.

KL Rahul surpassed the IPL record for most runs scored by an Indian batsman with that century. Additionally, Rahul broke the record for the most runs scored by a skipper. The team won the next five consecutive games but failed to qualify for the playoffs again, ending in sixth place.

KL Rahul IPL Runs in 2021

KL The Punjab Kings kept Rahul as their captain ahead of the 2021 edition. Rahul finished the 2021 season as the team’s leading scorer with 626 runs.

IPL 2022 Runs For Lucknow Super Giants

KL Rahul left the Punjab Kings before the 2022 season and joined the Lucknow Super Giants as their captain.

In the 100th IPL game, KL Rahul became the first and only player to score a century. He did so against the Mumbai Indians. Eight days later, he faced off against the same Mumbai Indians and smashed another undefeated century.

In 2022, KL Rahul’s batting form was again victorious. He has 537 runs scored in 15 innings at an average of 48.81 and a strikeout percentage of 135.26 in the cash rich league.

In that season, the skipper of Lucknow Super Giants managed to score two centuries and three half-centuries. In the battle for the Orange Cap, KL Rahul is only behind Jos Buttler (627) of Rajasthan Royals. KL Rahul scored more than 500 runs in an IPL edition for the fifth time in a row and became the first player to set this milestone.

IPL 2022 Winner
